Ancient Activation: Celtic Awakening
A five-day immersive retreat in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean | 16–20 September 2026
The Retreat
There is a part of you that has not forgotten.
Beneath the noise of modern life, beneath the identities you have accumulated and the world that moves too fast, something older remains. It knows, without being told, that you are not separate from the land beneath your feet, the water in the rivers, the turning of the seasons, or the people beside you. It has always known. And it is waiting to be remembered.
Celtic Awakening is a five-day immersive Celtic spiritual retreat in the heart of the Wye Valley, UK, for people ready to come home to themselves. We gather in the days before Mabon, the autumn equinox — a turning point the Celts marked and lived by.
We will walk in one of the most ancient and alive landscapes in Britain. We will visit sacred sites on both sides of the Wye, immerse in waters that have been venerated since before recorded history, and move through ceremony, ritual and embodied practice held by a team who carry these traditions with depth and care. You will be guided, throughout the retreat, by Chris Park — an esteemed Druid of this land, whose presence brings real lineage to the Celtic mythology, folklore and ancient wisdom we will draw on.
The Celtic people who lived on this land understood something we have largely lost: that wellbeing is not a personal project. It is relational. It lives in your connection to yourself, to your community, to the natural world, and to something larger than all of it. They expressed this through ritual and ceremony, through sacred sites and healing waters, through the stories and folklore they carried, through fire and the turning of the seasons. We are inspired by that way of being — as a reminder of what is already in us. The landscape becomes a living mirror, and what it reflects back is always something true.
You will leave different from how you arrived. Something remembered. Something reactivated. Something that was always there.
This land has always done something to those who pay attention to it. Wordsworth wrote here. Turner painted the light on the river. Tolkien walked these woods and discovered the story of a cursed ring here before he wrote the Lord of the Rings. J.K. Rowling grew up in the Forest of Dean, and the magic of that ancient landscape found its way into every page of Harry Potter. We are not coming to observe that magic. We are coming to remember that it was always ours too.
If this sacred land is calling you, come.
